(MITCHELL) - An Alabama man was arrested after police say he got into a fight with two men, injuring one of them.
The incident happened Saturday at a mobile home in the 700 block of West Oak Street in Mitchell.
According to Mitchell Police Chief Steve Blair, officers were called to the property at 4:03 p.m., when the co-executors of a property reported there was an unwanted man at the home and that man was taking out the carpet.
According to police, 57-year-old Wayne Hamilton had permission to live in the mobile home for the week of the Persimmon Festival. However, Hamilton told police he had permission to stay in the home because he was going to buy the mobile home.
Then at 5:12 p.m., the co-executors of the estate called police again reporting Hamilton was on the porch without clothes on and that Hamilton had injured two men during a physical altercation. .
Police say one of the men were knocked to the ground and the other suffered scratches and red marks.
Hamilton was arrested for battery and is being held in the Lawrence County Jail on a $5,000 surety, or $505 cash bond.
