(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested after he allegedly cut a woman on the hand during a domestic fight Sunday.
Mitchell Police arrested 45-year-old Richard Cook of Mitchell on charges of battery resulting in bodily injury and intimidation with a deadly weapon.
According to Mitchell Police Chief Steve Blair, officers were called to the home in the 200 block of South Second Street at 7:41 p.m. on Sunday after a woman called police to say she had been threatened and cut with a knife by her ex-boyfriend Richard Cook. She told police Cook had fled the house.
The woman was taken to IU Health Hospital for treatment.
Police found Cook walking on Frank Street and he was arrested. He is being held on a $20,000 surety or $2,005 cash bond.
