(BEDFORD) - A Mitchell woman was injured after she crashed her vehicle at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital Monday afternoon.
According to a Bedford Police report, 85-year-old Joan Jones was parking her 2003 Chevrolet Venture in the parking lot at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital near the emergency room when the vehicle accelerated and struck the building.
The employees at the hospital and a Seals ambulance crew took Jones, who suffered a fracture or dislocation to her knee or lower foot into the hospital for treatment.
The driver told police she was parking her vehicle when her foot slipped from the brake to the accelerator and the vehicle struck the stone wall.
