(BEDFORD) - National Guard members from all units that have been assigned to the Bedford National Guard Armory over the years are invited to attend the 14th annual reunion of the guard units Saturday, Oct. 8.
Cost for the hog roast lunch is $5 per person. Those attending also are asked to bring a covered dish. The lunch will be served at noon at the local armory, 2020 19th St. Attendees are asked to register between 11 and 11:30 a.m.
Organizer Ron Knight said about 77 people attended last year's event. He said units invited to the reunion are Headquarters Co. of the 138th Tank Battalion, Co. A of the 138th Tank Battalion, Co. D of the 738th Maintenance Battalion, the 1213th Dump Truck Company, the 3658th Maintenance Company, HHC 76th Brigade, Co. C of the 738th Maintenance Battalion and the Co. G of the 113th Forware Support Company.
For many years, each unit had its own reunion, but they combined the reunions into one large reunion in 2012.
Reservations are due Thursday. Meat and drink are furnished and children 10 and younger will eat for free.
