(ORLEANS) - Orange County REMC awards Operation Round Up grants to Running Start of Springs Valley.
The $1,050 grant will be used to purchase T-shirts, sock and shoes.

This round of awards brings the total amount disbursed by Operation Round Up to $411,047 since the inception of the program in 2002.
The Operation Round Up program allows REMC members to reach out to worthy causes in their communities and work together to help others, focusing on the needs of the members and sustaining the development of the community.
At present nearly 69 percent of Orange County REMC's members participate in the Operation Round Up program.
Operation Round Up funds will not be awarded to pay utility bills or as political contributions.
The deadline for the next round of grant application is October 28, 2016.
