(SALEM) - Salem High School’s annual open house celebration is Thursday, October 27 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and concludes with a free concert presented by the Concert Choir at 7:15 p.m.
The open house is an excellent time to look around the school, catch up with your child's teachers, and see some of the quality work being done at the high school. Various school groups and organizations will share their work with visitors.
Always active and involved in school betterment, Jeanne Page's SADD group will be busy handing out Red Ribbon Week materials to students and parents.
Booster Club will be taking orders for Lion's Den t-shirts and BPA will be selling keychains and cookie mixes as a fundraiser to help pay for the cost of traveling to the state BPA contest.
The award-winning Salem Art Department will present an exhibit of current student work in the lobby. On display will be works in graphite, colored pencil, watercolors, and acrylics. Yearbook staff members will be on hand to take orders for the 2017 "Lyon" Yearbook at the low introductory price of $45.
Capping the festivities, the Concert Choir will present a free concert at 7:15 in the Presentation Room. Always entertaining, the group will present a variety of light pieces. Concert-goers can buy tickets for the Bohemian Supper Club after the concert as well.
All events are free, and the public is invited. We look forward to seeing you there.
