(BEDFORD) - Longtime Bedford City Councilman Patrick Robbins was honored Tuesday for his service with having a city street named after him.
Patrick Robbins Way, initially named 23rd Street, is a recently constructed street that intersects with State Road 37. Robbins hopes the road will extend to make way for development and growth in the area and provide opportunities and jobs for future generations.
Besides serving the the city council, Robbins chairs the Bedford Redevelopment Commission and was instrumental in establishing a Tax Increment Financing district. He is also a supporter of LARC Center and Becky's Place.
