(SALEM) - Salem Police say a man has died after a house fire Friday.
The victim was 23-year-old Bradley Wright according to Salem Police Major Scott Ratts. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Major Ratts says the fire happened at 522 Colony Drive. Officials with the Salem Police and Fire Departments went to the scene at around 10:30 a.m.
Fire Chief Tom Day says they got the fire under control very quickly.
"The fire was confined to just the one room," he added.
Wright's body was found inside that bedroom were the fire originated. Firefighters say the fire appears to have started in the bedroom.
An autopsy on Wright's body was completed at the Washington County Coroner's Office on Saturday morning those results are pending. Coroner Rondale Brishaber says the investigation is ongoing.
Authorities are working to determine what caused the fire. The Indiana State Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate the fire.
