(BEDFORD) - Come enjoy a free Community Thanksgiving Dinner at Bertha’s Mission on Saturday, November 19 at First Baptist Church.
The meal will be served from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the church located at 1515 20th Street.
Janice Nickeo-Pendergrass, director of the mission, wants everyone to savor the flavors of turkey with all the trimmings.
"We want everyone to come join in fellowship with us, we will have live music and praise dance performance and a silent auction," says Nickeo-Pendergrass.
The nonprofit community kitchen is accepting donations for the dinner. Needed items include hams, turkeys, chicken, green beans, corn, stuffing mix, potatoes, noodles, elbow macaroni, mild and sharp shredded cheese, butter, cream, condensed milk, eggs, rolls, 2-liter bottles of soft drinks, ice and paper products. Items can be taken to the Mission or contact them through Berthasmission.com or call (317) 480-0085.
