(COLUMBUS) - A Columbus man could be connected to the tainted heroin spreading across the state.
After a month-long investigation, the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested 25-year-old Ryan Redmon during a traffic stop near Indianapolis Road.
Redmon faces charges of possession of meth, possession of a legend drug injection device and two counts of dealing narcotic drugs.
Police say 27-year-old Chelsie McFall was driving the car they pulled over. She is facing charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a syringe.
Police believe Redmon was bringing heroin to Bartholomew County from Indianapolis and Cincinnati. The investigation is ongoing and police say more arrests are likely.
Last month police responded to a flurry of overdoses they believe were caused by heroin cut with drug of heroin tainted fentanyl and other drugs.
