(BEDFORD) - A Mitchell woman complained of chest pain after a rear-end collision at the intersection of Ind. 37 and 29th Street Monday afternoon.
According to a Bedford Police report, 73-year-old Sharon Russell was traveling north on Ind. 37 and had slowed for the stop light at 29th Street when her 2016 Ford Fiesta was struck in the rear by a 1987 Ford F-150 driven by 58-year-old Doug Ritchison.
Ritchison told police he saw the green light turn to yellow, then looked down and saw that Russell had stopped in front of him but he was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision.
Russell complained of chest and arm pain and was taken by an IU Health Hospital ambulance to the hospital for treatment.
Ritchison was not injured.
