(BEDFORD) - Three people were hurt in a three-vehicle rear-end collision at the intersection of U.S. 50 East and Shawswick School Road Tuesday afternoon.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, officers, a Seals ambulance, along with Bedford Fire Department extrication unit and Shawswick volunteer first tesponders were called to the scene at approximately 4:20 p.m.
Injured were 45-year-old James Brandt of Oolitic. He complained of neck pain. His passenger, 45-year-old Teresa O. Brandt, also of Oolitic, complained of head pain.
Both were transported to Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital for treatment.
A second driver, 77-year-old Roslee Hutchinson complained of chest pain and was transported to a hospital by a private vehicle.
According to police, 57-year-old Janet Debrular was traveling west on U.S. 50 East in her 2006 Ford Fusion. Behind her was James Brandt driving a 1999 Chevrolet S-10 and Hutchinson was behind Brandt's truck driving a 2008 Toyota Corolla.
According to police, Debrular slowed down, coming to a stop, to turn south onto Shawswick School Road. Brandt stopped behind. Hutchinson's vehicle failed to stop, crashing into Brandt's truck, causing it to crash into Debrular, Ford Fusion.
