(GREENE CO.) - A Bloomfield man was arrested on drug charges after being stopped by an Indiana State Trooper for a traffic violation.
According to an ISP report, Trooper Caleb Garvin stopped a vehicle at State Road 54 and JL Wilson Road just after 11 p.m. Wednesday night.
The vehicle had traveled left of the center line.
39-year-old Christopher Minks' driving privileges were suspended and his truck had not been properly registered.
When Minks learned his vehicle was going to be impounded he retrieved some items from the truck, which he gave Trooper Garvin consent to search.
Inside the bag the trooper found cocaine and under the driver's seat he found a pipe with a substance inside that tested positive for meth.
Minks was arrested on Level 5 felony charges of possession of cocaine with a previous conviction, possession of meth with a previous conviction, maintaining a common nuisance and a Class B misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
