(BLOOMFIELD) - The Bloomfield Police Department has a new honorary deputy marshal.
Kye Mumma is autistic. You can follow his adventures the good, the bad, the ugly, and the spectacular on Facebook at The World According to Kye at www.facebook.com/worldaccordingtokye/?fref=ts.
Wedneday night, Kye, took his oath and was given his certification and badge complete with his name on it.
Kye's simple response was "Thank You," because that is what he and his fellow officers had practiced.
The magic happened afterwards, as it usually does, with Kye, he showed his badge to everyone at a local restaurant and proclaimed "I'm a real Police officer!"
He then attempted to arrest his sister.
After returning home after a night of celebration, Kye didn't want to change into his pajamas because he needed to stay in his jeans so he had a pocket to keep his badge in, like his fellow officers.
"This means I REALLY CAN become a policeman when I get bigger!" Kye told everyone.
