(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police are looking for two men that entered Cresent Donut on South Adams Street and robbed the store.
Police say this is the second time the store has been robbed this year. The first robbery occurred on October 16.
The workers reported the second robbery at 3:30 a.m. on Monday.
The two employees told police that they had been in the kitchen making donuts when two men wearing masks entered the store - one armed with a handgun.
The men ordered the workers into a back room, where a safe is kept and ordered them to open it. The clerks told the men they didn't have the combination. The men then ordered them to open the register at the front of the store. The men took the cash and fled.
No one was injured during the robbery.
Bloomington Police Capt. Steve Kellams says the men may be responsible for several recent armed robberies in the area including the first robbery at the Cresent Donut, the robbery at Flip Laundry on South Woodcrest Drive, two robberies at Pizza X East on South College Mall Road and the Village Pantry robbery on West Third Street.
Capt. Kellams says witnesses descriptions of the armed man match. The robber is a skinny black male, in his late teens or early 20s, standing 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10, and wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored jeans and a mask.
Anyone with information about any of the robberies is asked to call Bloomington Police Department at (812) 339-4477.
