(MITCHELL) - Four people were injured in a head-on collision on Sportsman Club Road, Wednesday night.
The accident was reported at 6:30 p.m. on Sportsman Club Road, one mile east of Ind. 60 East.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 24-year-old Samanth Edwards of Mitchell was driving her 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt west on Sportsman Club Road with 24-year-old Steven Hopper of Mitchell as her front seat passenger.
At the same time, 45-year-old Lisa Samudio of Bedford was driving her 2005 Chevrolet Aveo east on Sportsman Club Road with 44-year-old Jeffery Porter of Mitchell as her front seat passenger.
The two vehicles met at the top of the hill in the 780 block of Sportsman Club Road in a slight curve.
Edwards' vehicle was left of the center line and the two vehicles collided head-on.
Edwards, who is pregnant, complained of stomach pain and pain to her lower leg. Hooper suffered chest injuries.
The airbags did deploy, but neither Edwards or Hooper were wearing their seat belts.
Samudio suffered a fractured right ankle and right hand. Porter suffered a hip fracture.

Hooper and Porter was transported from the scene to the Mitchell High School soccer field and loaded onto Air Evac helicopters to be transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.
Samudio and Edwards were transported to local hospitals.
Both Edwards and Samudio submitted to blood-alcohol test and those samples were sent to the Indiana State Police Toxicology Lab.
Assisting at the scene were two Seals ambulance crews, Marion Township and Mitchell VFDs, Bedford Fire Department extrication unit and two Air Evac helicopters crews.
