(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested after he tried to get his girlfriend to leave a Mitchell High School basketball game Friday night.
Mitchell Police arrested 18-year-old Jake Hillenburg on charges of battery, intimidation and disorderly conduct. He posted a $505 cash bond Saturday.
According to police, Hillenburg called his girlfriend on the phone and when he found out she was at a basketball game he went to the high school.
Hillenburg wanted his girlfriend to leave and she refused. That is when a couple of other males at the game told him to leave her alone.
Hillenburg punched one of the males, knocking him to the ground, which spurred a fight. School officials were then notified and they called police.
