(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police were called to Bryan Park after a report of a suspicious item on Tuesday night.
According to Cap Steven Kellams, officer arrived found a PVC Pipe that appeared to have been fashioned into a pipe bomb in the South Henderson Street parking lot of Bryan Park just after 11 p.m.
Indiana State Police Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team was notified and they responded to assist. The EOD officers rendered the device safe and evidence was collected from the scene.
The device did not contain any propellant and was never a danger to the community.
The case is still under investigation.
