(BEDFORD) - Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of J and 9th streets, Monday morning.
According to a Bedford Police report, 66-year-old Robert Frye was traveling southbound in his 2013 Ford Escape in the right lane on J Street and was approaching 9th Street.
At the same time, 39-year-old Rebecca Romine was traveling southbound in her 2012 Honda Accord.
According to police and a witness to the accident, Frye attempted to make a left turn from the right lane of J Street onto 9th Street and turned into the path of Romine's car.
Frye's car struck the left side of Romine's vehicle, causing damage to both vehicles.
Romaine and her 4-year-old passenger both complained of chest and stomach pain. Both were transported from the scene to a local hospital by a Seals ambulance crew.
Frye was not injured during the incident.
