(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested Tuesday after he made sexual comments toward a female customer at Hoosier Pete on Mitchell Road.
Bedford Police were called to the service station at 5:18 p.m. after a report a man there making customers feel uncomfortable.
Police arrested 39-year-old Jasun Boyd on a charge of public intoxication.
"We received numerous calls about Mr. Boyd," Chief Dennis Parsley says. "He really wasn't causing a disturbance, but he was refusing to leave after being asked things uncomfortable for both the employee and customers."
When police arrived, they found Boyd was sitting in front of the gas station with a case of beer.
"When he saw the officers he immediately chugged two cans of beer," Chief Parsley added. "He was unable to speak with officers because of his level of intoxication."
Jail officials say Boyd is being held at the Lawrence County Jail without bond because he was on probation on an October driving while intoxicated charge.
