(BLOOMINGTON) - A man who suffered from dementia and Parkinson’s disease was found dead in a small pond off East Winslow Road and Winslow Farm Drive in Bloomington Tuesday morning.
According to Bloomington Police Capt. Steve Kellams, the 88-year-old man had recently made suicidal comments to his family about drowning himself.
The man was reported missing at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday after his wife discovered him missing from their home.
Capt. Kellams says officers rushed to the home and found the man's body in the retention pond. Dive team members recovered his body.
