(BLOOMINGTON) - A fire at Country View Apartments Monday morning left one person injured and damaged two apartments.
The fire was reported at 4:06 a.m. at building number 8 at the apartment complex in the 2500 block of Rockport Road.
When Bloomington Fire Department firefighters arrived flames were shooting out of the first floor windows and the eaves of the roof.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire that was spreading to the second floor. The fire damaged at least two apartments and there was water damage to others.
One person was transported to the hospital, but their name and how they were injured was not available.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
