(BEDFORD) - Volunteer Income Tax Assistance offers free tax help at the Bedford Public Library to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.
VITA volunteers are IRS-certified and provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.
VITA appointments are available now and may be made by calling the library at (812) 275-4471.
Appointment dates run from January 28 through March 30. Taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their returns are urged to call for appointments as soon as possible.
