(BLOOMINGTON) - An Indianapolis man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Bloomington apartment.
Bloomington Police say 19-year-old Draven Miller was arrested after police found him at a home in Indianapolis.
According to Bloomington Capt. Steve Kellams, on October 10, Miller and another teen forced their way into an apartment in the 2500 block of East Eastgate Lane along with a 17-year-old accomplice. One carried a shotgun and the other had a handgun.
They then demanded the two residents and three guests give them their phones. During the robbery, one of the visitors was able to call 911. Another wrestled the juvenile to the ground, and police arrested him when they arrived. One resident did suffer a head injury during the struggle. Miller fled with several of the cell phones.
The 17-year-old was arrested and taken to a juvenile detention center. Detectives soon learned that Miller was the second person involved in the robbery and he was arrested Monday without incident. He refused to give police a statement. He was taken to the Monroe County Correctional Center where he is being held on $30,000 bond.
