(HARDINSBURG) - A New Albany woman was killed in an accident on U.S. 150, Tuesday morning, east of Hardinsburg.
According to Washington County Sheriff's Department Deputy Brad Naugle, 60-year-old Elizabeth Dodge was traveling west in her 2005 Nissan Max on Ind. 150, around 9 a.m. when for an unknown reason her car traveled off the right side of the highway and struck a utility pole.
The Nissan continued back onto the roadway and off the left side coming to rest in a field.
Dodge died at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
Assisting officers were Sheriff Roger Newlon and Deputy Mark Blackman, Posey Township First Responders, Washington County EMS, Washington County Coroner's Office and Kentucky 7 Air Ambulance.
