(OOLITIC) - An Oolitic man was arrested after a domestic fight turned physical early Monday morning.
Lawrence County officers were called to a home in the 900 block of Walnut Street in Oolitic at 2:36 a.m.
The caller told the dispatcher that her boyfriend was holding a knife to his throat.
"When officers arrived on the scene, the domestic fight had ended and the male did not have a knife in his possession," says Sheriff Mike Branham.
The 19-year-old woman told police that she and her boyfriend, 21-year-old Logan Pardue, had been arguing on New Year's Day when the argument turned physical.
"She says the arguing started again later that night and escalated to the point that she was pushed through a storm door, breaking the glass, which resulted in her calling police," Sheriff Branham added.
The woman suffered redness to her back and complained of pain following the incident.
Pardue was arrested on a charge of domestic battery.
Assisting at the the scene was an IU Health Hospital ambulance and Oolitic Volunteer Fire Department.
