(SPRINGVILLE) - A Springville man was arrested Saturday after he lead Lawrence County police on a pursuit in November.
Police arrested, 29-year-old Jordan Wolfe on a warrant charging him with resisting law enforcement, possession of cocaine and a narcotic drug and cited him with driving with a suspended driver's license and on a motion to revoke his probation.
On November 14, the pursuit began at 10:49 p.m. on State Road 58. A county officer was on patrol in the area when they noticed the vehicle cross the centerline twice.
According to Sheriff Mike Branham, the officer tried to pull over the vehicle, but Wolfe stopped in the middle of the highway instead of to the side.
As the officer approached the vehicle, the driver sped off, so the officer got back in his patrol car and initiated a pursuit.
Wolfe turned onto Armstrong Station Road, then onto Boone Hollow Road where he crashed in a curve.
Sheriff Branham says that Wolfe's passenger, 21-year-old Dashia Deel of Mitchell, remained in the vehicle and was "obviously impaired." Wolfe fled the scene on foot and police were unable to locate him.
Deel complained of pain to her shoulder and head pain. She was taken to Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital for treatment and then taken to jail on charges of possession of cocaine and a narcotic drug.
Police inventoried the vehicle and found a container on the floor of the vehicle that contained two bags. One had a white powder substance that field-tested positive for cocaine, the other bag had a brown powder substance in it that field-tested positive as heroin.
Wolfe is being held without bond.
