(UNDATED) - Indiana chapters of the National Wild Turkey Federation is working hard on the Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt. initiative to conserve acreage, create hunters and open access to hunting.
The National Wild Turkey Federation is an international non-profit organization whose mission is 'the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of our hunting heritage.
The NWTF Indiana board of directors have spent nearly $55,000 to conserve or enhance 1,979 acres. They also spent $27,750 to acquire and open hunting access to 2,773 acres.
This funding was made possible thanks to NWTF license plate sales, where 100 percent of the proceeds stay in the state.
