(BLOOMINGTON) - Police say two people were injured after a semi tractor-trailer and a car collided on Ind. 37 in the I-69 construction zone Monday afternoon.
The accident was reported just before 3 p.m. at West Simpson Chapel Road, near Oliver Winery.
The car flipped onto its top with the front half of the car sliding under the tractor-trailer.
A firefighter from Northern Monroe County Fire Territory was able to help a woman out of the car through a back passenger door.
A man in the car had gotten out before emergency crews arrived on the scene. .
Both suffered possible head injuries and were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
Police say traffic was restricted for a short period of time in one lane in both the north and southbound lands of Ind. 37 while investigators worked the scene. All lanes were open by 4 p.m.
