(MITCHELL) - A Bedford woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Hancock Avenue in Mitchell.
The accident happened at 3:52 p.m. Thursday near Gilbert Drive.
According to a Mitchell Police report, 57-year-old Patricia Rishforth of Bedford bit her tongue during the crash. She was treated at the scene.
According to police, Rishforth was traveling east on Hancock Avenue behind a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Jari Reynolds of Mitchell.
Reynolds told police she was slowing for a school bus that was crossing in front of her and that is when her 2001 Chevrolet Malibu was struck in the rear by Rishforth's 1996 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
Rishforth told police she was talking to her daughter and didn't see Reynolds' vehicle slow.
Reynolds was not injured.
