(BLOOMFIELD) - A Bloomfield man was arrested on intimidation charges after he allegedly fired a handgun in a trailer during an argument.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Greene County Police arrested 54-year-old Douglas Spencer on Wednesday, after he allegedly fired a handgun after an argument with another person over unpaid rent.
Spencer owns the trailer where the fight happened, but the two involved own the property where the trailer sits.
Police were called to the mobile home after one of the victims called police reporting that Spencer pointed a firearm at him.
Douglas told police that the two had come to his home and were "destroying it."
Police say they found numerous broken items on the front porch and the glass had been broken out of the front door.
Douglas told police he had told the two to get out of his house and when they didn't he got his 9mm handgun and fired several shots into the floor.
Spencer was arrested on charges of intimidation, pointing a firearm at another and criminal recklessness with a firearm. He posted at $1,400 cash bond and was released. The court entered a not guilty plea on his behalf and he is to have no contact with either victim. A pretrial conference is scheduled for April 10, at 2:30 p.m.
