(BLOOMINGTON) - Police arrested a Bloomington couple Friday after one of them allegedly was dealing heroin from an apartment in the 1000 block of North Lindbergh Drive.
Bloomington Police arrested 27-year-old Fitzroy Williams on felony charges of dealing heroin, maintaining a common nuisance and neglect of a dependent and 26-year-old Patonia Franklin on felony charges of maintaining a common nuisance, neglect of a dependent and obstruction of justice.
Police say the arrests were made after an undercover investigation that began in January.
Police say four children, between the ages of 1 and 11, lived in the apartment.
Detectives obtained a search warrant Friday and arrested Williams as he walked from the apartment to his car. Police say he had a small amount of marijuana and a large amount of cash in his pockets.
In the home, detectives found pills, scales and a firearm in the apartment.
Police arrested Franklin who was home during the search.
Franklin admitted she knew Williams was dealing drugs and admitted the children were in the apartment during the crimes.
Williams admitted to selling heroin but told police Franklin did not know about the drug deals.
