(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police arrested the robber and getaway driver in the Feb. 1 armed robbery of the Subway on North Kinser Pike.
On February 1, police were called to 1839 North Kinser Pike after a report that a man armed with a black handgun entered the Subway restaurant pointed the gun at employees and took the money from the cash register and then fled.
According to Capt. Steven Kellams, officers reviewed video footage and were able to obtain a description of the robber and the possible getaway vehicle.
On Friday, detectives located the vehicle and after conducted surveillance arrested 23-year-old Shanelle Keo, who admitted to being the getaway driver.
Detectives then went to the home of 38-year-old Gavin Combs where they conducted surveillance and subsequently arrested him after conducting a traffic stop.
Police say Combs admitted that he had committed the robbery.
Evidence from the robbery, along with the handgun, which was a toy spray painted black, was recovered from Combs home.
Combs and Keo were both arrested on a Level 3 felony charge of robbery.
