(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police are searching for an Ethiopian woman who was visiting Bloomington from abroad and went missing.
The woman was reported missing at 11:50 a.m. Saturday by her employer. Police at this time are not releasing the missing woman's name or photo.
According to police, the woman told police that her missing assistant had come to visit family in the Bloomington area and were hoping to obtain a travel visa while here.
The woman was last seen between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday at her employer's family's home on South Ira Street. All of the woman's belongings are also missing.
The employer told police the woman may be with several men who they met while traveling from Ethiopia during a layover in Washington D.C. The missing woman stayed in contact with the men via text messages after leaving Washington D.C.
