(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police arrested a 16-year-old boy Saturday on rape charges after he allegedly raped a 19-year-old woman.
Police are not releasing the teen's name.
According to a Bloomington Police report, on Friday the woman told police she and the teen had been at an acquaintance's house with several other people "hanging out."
Several of the people had went to a different area of the home and the woman turned on a movie to watch.
The 16-year-old asked the woman if he could stay and watch the movie with her.
They watched from a bed, her under the covers and him on top of them.
At some point the woman fell asleep. She told police she woke to the teen kissing her neck and he then began to sexually assault her.
The woman told police she asked the teen several times to stop and told him to leave, but he refused. He finally did leave, but not before laughing at the woman.
The woman then fell back asleep. On Saturday morning the she told family members what happened and they told her to contact police.
The teen also allegedly sent the woman text messages apologizing for the rape, saying he hoped she was not mad at him.
Police interviewed the teen, who admitted to the rape, saying the woman did say no but he had sex with her anyway.
