(MITCHELL) - An Orleans man suffered minor injuries in a rear-end collision on Ind. 37, near Clover Lane.
The accident was reported at 5:18 p.m. Friday.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 18-year-old Kalin Goller of Orleans was traveling south on Ind. 37 when the engine began to fail in his 1982 Honda CM450, causing the vehicle to suddenly slow down. Police say Goller's car was hit from the rear by a 1999 Ford Explorer driven by 37-year-old Samuel Laster of Williams.
Police say the bumper of Laster's vehicle became wedges between the wheel and fender of Goller's car. The two vehicles came to a complete stop further down the highway.
Goller suffered scrapes to his left elbow and swelling to his right knuckles. He refused medical treatment.
Laster was not injured.
