(BEDFORD) - Two people suffered minor injures in a 4-vehicle accident on 16th Street at Edgewood Drive Tuesday night.
According to a Bedford Police report, 75-year-old Helen Smith of Medora was traveling east on 16th Street in a 2003 Kia Rio and was in the middle turn lane to make a left turn from 16th Street into the entrance of JayC parking lot.
Police say the traffic light was green for westbound traffic on 16th Street.
At the same time 59-year-old Daniel Perry of Springville was traveling west on 16th Street in the right lane of travel and approaching the main entrance of JayC Plus and had stopped his 2002 Jaguar for the red light.
Police say, 62-year-old Rita Hutcherson of Bedford was driving a 1999 Honda Accord and was in the left turn lane.
The fourth vehicle involved in the accident, a 2017 Volkswagen Beetle driven by 61-year-old Frank Buczolich of Bloomington, was facing south in the main driveway entrance of the JayC lot and was stopped for the red light and was waiting to make a right turn onto 16th Street.
Police say Smith made a left turn in front Perry's Jaguar.
Smith told police she didn't see Perry's vehicle prior to making the turn.
Perry's Jaguar struck the right front of Smith's Kia.
Perry's Jaguar then continued in a northwest direction and struck Hutcherson's Honda Accord head-on.
At the same time, Smith's Kia spun 180 degrees and traveled west striking Buczolich's Volkswagen in the left front side.
Two people suffered minor injuries. Smith complained of chest pain and a passenger in Hutcherson's vehicle, 43-year-old Tristan Hutcherson of Bedford complained of hip and upper leg pain.
