(JASONVILLE) - Two members of the Jasonville Police Department were honored with the Exceptional Service Award Monday evening.
Officer Jake Gambill and Assistant Police Chief Ryan Van Horn were presented the awards for their work on the recent arrest of 10 individuals responsible for distributing meth in both Greene and Clay counties.
"Both played a major role in a 2 month drug investigation that netted 10 arrests and dismantled a methamphetamine organization responsible for distributing approximately 2 pounds of crystal methamphetamine per month in Greene and Clay counties," says Chief Jim Gadberry said in a Facebook post.
The award is for any act judged to be exceptional in nature, including a single arrest or investigation that leads to a series of arrests.
Gadberry added he did not want to leave out the rest of his department.
