(MITCHELL) - Two Orleans residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of State Road 37 and Main Street.

According to an Indiana State Police, 23-year-old Bryson Manship was flown by StatFlight medical helicopter to University of Louisville Hospital after suffering a large laceration to his head.

Also injured was 74-year-old Martha Hanners who suffered a broken wrist and neck pain. She was taken to Indiana University Health Paoli Hospital.

According to police, Manship was traveling through north on State Road 37 through the Main Street intersection in a Ford car. At the same time, Hanners was traveling south in the left turn lane of State Road 37, in a Mercury car, and was attempting to turn onto Main Street.

Police say Hanners had a blinking yellow arrow and failed to yield at the intersection colliding with Manship's vehicle.
