(BEDFORD) - The White River Humane Society recently honored some dedicated volunteers during its annual meeting.
The Times Mail reports, Board President Buddy Hendricks presented awards to seven volunteers, a shelter employee and a local business for their support.
Eden Stafford, administrative director, was named Employee of the Year.
Board members Debbie Stailey and Dee Anderson received the President's Award.
Youth Volunteers of the Year went to Anthony Gillihan and Braden Wickstrom, who did work at the shelter for his Eagle Scout rank.
Angie Jones, received the Humanitarian of the Year Award; Georgeann Ruland and Greg Mahuron each received a Volunteer of the Year Award.
Hendricks presented the Business of the Year award to Dr. Jerry Rusch of Spring Mill Veterinary Service in Mitchell for his dedication and providing free medical services to the shelter.
