(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington woman was arrested Saturday after she was found asleep in a stranger’s apartment.
Bloomington Police arrested 21-year-old Samantha Hooten on a felony charge of residential entry.
According to a Bloomington Police report, officers were called to an apartment in the 3200 block of East Braeside Drive after the resident found a woman sleeping in their recliner.
When police arrived the woman was still asleep in the recliner and the front of the apartment had been ransacked where police say Hooten had went through drawers and closets. She had a pile of items gathered up, but fell asleep.
The residents - two men and two women - told police they didn't know the woman.
Police woke Hooten. She told police she didn't know where she was and wasn't sure how she got there. Because of her impairment, Hooten was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation and then transported to the Monroe County Correctional Center.
