(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was arrested Wednesday after police say she was stealing out of the cash register at her place of employment.
Bedford Police arrested 51-year-old Angie Conn of Bedford on a charge of theft.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, Conn was caught taking cash out of the registers at JayC Food Plus.
"When we approached her about the thefts she admitted to taking cash from the register," Chief Parsley added. "She was taking the cash out of the register, wadding it up and then dropping it into the trash can and retrieving it later."
Conn was booked into the Lawrence County Jail at 5:39 p.m. and was released after posting a cash bond.
