(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested Saturday after Indiana State Police found more than 57 grams of crystal meth and other medications in his car.
Just after 5 p.m. Saturday, ISP Sgt. Greg Day conducted a traffic stop along West Third Street (SR 48) near Kimble Drive. The traffic stop occurred after Sgt. Day observed a vehicle exit off the roadway on Kimble Drive and into a grassy area.
The driver, 40-year-old Rickey W. Moore of Bloomington was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended Indiana driver's license.
A consented search of the vehicle revealed hypodermic syringes, cotton swabs and a digital scale that contained white residue consistent with methamphetamine.
Moore was arrested and transported to the Monroe County Jail. During a search of his person, jail officers found concealed in his body approximately 57 grams of crystal meth and medication for which Moore had no prescription.
Moore is facing felony charges of dealing meth, possession of meth, possession of hypodermic needles, possession of a legend drug and dealing in a legend drug.
Sgt. Ryan Miller assisted with this case.
