(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man died following a two-vehicle collision Monday afternoon on State Road 46, just west of the former Ski World in Brown County.
According to Brown County Sheriff's report, 28-year-old Joseph Dusard was pronounced dead at the scene after fire rescue units recovered his body from a vehicle and attempts were made to resuscitate him.
Emergency crews responded to the scene at 2:41 p.m.
According to police Dusard had been traveling west on State Road 46 and another driver, 60-year-old Timothy Ellison of Crooked Creek Rd., was traveling east on State Road 46 when the two vehicles collided head-on. The crash remains under investigation.
Ellison suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for treatment and later released.
