(BLOOMFIELD) - Greene County’s economic development director is set to make a final presentation at the Greene County Council’s March meeting about a proposed innkeeper’s tax.
The meeting will be Monday, March 27 at 3 p.m. in the Commissioners Room on the third floor of the Greene County Courthouse.
The proposed 5 percent tax would be imposed on hotels, motels, cabins, bed-and-breakfast establishments and some state-owned lodging.
If passed, the tax could generate about $75,000 to promote tourism in Greene County.
