(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Community Foundation announces the 2017 Open Grant Cycle.
$60,000 will be available for charitable programs and projects that serve Lawrence County.
Priority will be given to proposals for addition-related programs, and additional funding is available for specific causes such as parks, disadvantaged children, and senior citizens.
The 2016 Open Grant Cycle awarded more than $43,000 to twenty-one Lawrence County groups and agencies including Becky's Place, Families Forever, L C Steam, LARC, and Springville Community Park.
The 2017 cycle is funded by the David Allen Jacobs Community Fund, Patrick & Sharon Robbins Fund, Earlyn & Alvera Burkhart Hill and Orlin & Imogene Burkett Memorial Fund, William A. Poling Fund for Lawrence County, German American Bancorp Fund, Bob Bridge Fund, Harold "Mac" & Shirley McReynolds Fund, Dollens Fund, Chloral Hilderbrand Community Grants Fund, Bicentennial Fund, and the Ralph W. "Shorty" & Bette Robison Fund.
The 2017 grant application is available online at www.cfpartner.org/lccfgrantshowtoapply.htm. Application packets are also available at the Community Foundation office located in the old Bedford post office building at 1324 K Street, Suite 150, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Non-profit organizations recognized by the IRS as having 501(c)(3) status, educational institutions, and governmental entities are eligible to apply.
Completed applications must be received by the Community Foundation by 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2017 to be considered for funding.
