(BEDFORD) - An Orleans man was injured after he lost control of his vehicle on Ind. 37 near Wesley Chapel Road on Saturday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 54-year-old Norman Holt was traveling south on State Road 37 when he crossed the northbound lane.
His 2007 Kia Sportage left the roadway and then traveled southeast on State Road 37 before crashing through a state highway barrier fence. The vehicle then crossed a large culvert and crossed onto the property at 2007 Dixie Highway where the vehicle crashed into the west wall of a garage.
Police say Holt had to be freed from the vehicle by firefighters.
Holt suffered bruising and a head contusion and was taken by ambulance to IU Bloomington Hospital for treatment.
Assisting at the scene was an AMR ambulance crew, Bedford Fire Department extrication unit and first responders with the Marion Volunteer Fire Department.
