(HELTONVILLE) - Three people suffered abrasions and pain after the vehicle they were in rolled and landed on its top on Todd Lane Tuesday afternoon.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 21-year-old Kortney Kinley of Bloomington was traveling west on Todd Lane when another vehicle was seen in their lane of travel.
Kinley swerved to miss the vehicle and her 1998 Toyota ran off the side of the roadway. Kinley over-corrected and the vehicle went across the eastbound lane and ran off the right side of the road. She then over-corrected the vehicle a second time, came back to the right, and left the roadway. The vehicle struck an embankment and brush with the passenger side of the vehicle. The vehicle then rolled an unknown amount of times and landed on its top in front of 1027 Todd Lane.
Kinley and one passenger, 25-year-old Danielle Malin, suffered an abrasion to their face. The third occupant was not listed in the police report.
All three occupants were taken to IU Health Hospital for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene was an AMR ambulance crew, Shawswick and Pleasant Run Volunteer Fire Departments, Bedford Fire Department extrication unit, Bedford Police and Stat Flight was put on alert.
