(BLOOMINGTON) - Monroe County deputies were called to the Circle K gas station in the 1500 block of Leonard Springs Road Monday morning after a 17-year-old reported that he had been robbed.
The teenager told deputies he was robbed by those who were to give him a ride from Bloomington to Kentucky.
The teen told police that a woman named Lindsey Capps robbed him of $130 and had left the gas station in a silver Jeep Liberty and was last seen traveling west on Ind. 45.
The teen told deputies that he had met Capps online and she agreed to give him a ride in exchange for cash.
Once in the Jeep, the two got into an argument. The driver, a male, had a gun on his lap and pulled into the gas station where Capps took the teens money.
While police were talking to the teen, another Monroe County deputy stopped the Jeep for speeding at Ind. 45 and West Airport Road - not knowing the woman in the Jeep had robbed the teen.
During a search of the Jeep, police found drugs and drug paraphernalia. They also recovered a BB gun.
Police arrested 21-year-old Lindsey Capps of Ellettsville on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver, 19-year-old Aaron Taylor of Bloomington, was arrested on charges of possession of meth, possession of a lookalike drug, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The two where then also charged with robbery.
