(BEDFORD) - Bedford Mayor Shawna Girgis and the Bedford Urban Enterprise Association will officially announce the start of construction on the city’s Community Garden plot.
The event will be held on April 19th at 11 a.m. at 416 H Street.
Community members can come see the garden design, provide feedback, discuss project ideas, and reserve a garden plot.
This project represents a collaboration between the Bedford Parks Department and the health coalition, Live Well Lawrence County. The intention is to create more community spaces that intersect with health and wellness while also replacing the previous community garden on 22nd Street that has been sold by Green Hill Cemetery.
Ideas and feedback can also be submitted online. See the design and complete a very short survey at: https://goo.gl/uCrDwA
